How we built this

In 2009, Akram Ramadan founded Golden Metals in the scrap yards of the West Bank. What began as a regional operation — sorting and grading non-ferrous metals for local buyers — has grown into a trusted international exporter. Today, Golden Metals ships ISRI-graded aluminium, copper, lead, nickel and zinc to smelters and refineries across six continents.

Our path forward

From a single yard to a global operation. Each milestone marks a decision to do the work right.

2009

The beginning

Akram Ramadan founded Golden Metals in the West Bank with a simple idea: source non-ferrous scrap with care, grade it properly to ISRI specifications, and find it honest buyers.

2012

First exports

We shipped our first consolidated containers to European smelters. The work was
harder than we expected, and we got better because of it. Every load taught us
something — about grading, about logistics, about how trust gets built one shipment at
a time.

2016

ISO certification

We earned ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications. Not for the certificates themselves, but because the standards made us better operators — and gave our international buyers something verifiable to trust.

2024

Global reach

Today we operate across six continents, serving smelters and refiners in 85 countries. The work is the same — sourced locally, graded honestly, shipped on time. The scale is different.
